The Orchestra students from Bridgewater-Raritan High School responded to their challenge.

Hsiao-yu Lin (Sherry) Griggs, the Orchestra Director at Bridgewater-Raritan High School, tested her students with rigorous rehearsals and practices this spring to prepare them for their final performance of the 2025-2026 school year.

They succeeded.

On the evening of Tuesday, May 19, the students delivered a sparkling performance at the Orchestra Spring Concert in the Bridgwater-Raritan High School auditorium.

“We had a great night for the Orchestra Spring Concert,” Ms. Griggs claimed.

She explained how her students reacted to her challenge.

“I programmed a very challenging repertoire this spring for all ensembles, and we work diligently to improve our performance. I am proud to say the students rose to the challenge and presented a high level of technique, musicianship, and mature expression on Tuesday night (May 19).”

The program began with the Ninth Orchestra, followed by an equally fine presentation from the Piu Vivace.

The Concert Orchestra then delivered a terrific effort, followed by a wonderful set from the Symphony Orchestra.

The brilliant performance was capped by the Senior Orchestra, students whom Ms. Griggs applauded.

“Thank you to the Orchestra Class of 2026! You led by example and showed the underclassmen the importance of dedication and commitment to the Orchestra Program. We will miss you!”
