Itlian Exam

Bridgewater-Raritan High School students passed their test in the National Italian Exam (NIE). 

According to Giuseppina Bologno, Bridgewater-Raritan High School Italian Teacher, “these accomplishments showcase the potential for excellence in foreign language learning, attained through dedicated study, strong teaching, and the invaluable support of school administration, families, and the entire community.”

Ms. Bologno reported that “the National Italian Exam (NIE), organized by the American Association of Teachers of Italian (AATI), serves as an excellent benchmark for assessing students' proficiency in the Italian language. This comprehensive exam evaluates students’ comprehension abilities in listening and reading, including their grammatical knowledge, vocabulary proficiency and their cultural insights.”

She added:

“Our Bridgewater-Raritan students have demonstrated success across all levels of Italian language learning, from beginners (Level 1) to advanced learners (AP Italian).”

“This year, 25 students enrolled in Italian received certificates of achievement, and four students were awarded monetary rewards. We commend their hard work, dedication, and passion for the Italian language and culture,” Ms. Bologno said.
