“We were excited to welcome some wonderful guest readers who shared their love of reading with our students. Dr. (Dan) Fonder, Mrs. (Annemarie) Mattia and Mr. (Dave) Guglietti delighted our classes with their lively readings. One of our retired staff members, Barbara O'Donnell, returned to surprise the children as well,’’ Ms. Rayburn revealed.
Dr. Fonder is the Assistant Superintendent for Personnel, Ms. Mattia is the Director of Elementary Education and Mr. Guglietti is the Supervisor of Health and Physical Education K-12 for the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District.
“We were lucky enough to welcome author Lindsey Stansfield this week to share her picture books with all the students at Bradley Gardens. We all had a great time chuckling at her Yeti family stories,” Ms. Rayburn said.
Ms. Rayburn also reported that “the students took part in a "book tasting", shared their favorite read alouds with other classes and read to younger students this week. They even brought some stuffed friends to school to share their love of books! “
She added:
“Everyone enjoyed our reading celebration and we're excited to continue sharing stories all year long. “
