The process consumed a few months but the time and effort was worth it.

The finished product proved that at the Bradley Gardens Primary School.

Students in the classes taught by Jason Perler and Gizelle Felice-Carter painted a mural in the reset room at Bradley Gardens.

The project was set up and run by Caroline Garretson, one of the School Social Workers at Bradley Gardens, and the Art Teacher, Jessica Marchand.

Ms. Garretson explained the project.

“They started planning the project a couple months ago. I had the students vote on the image they wanted to use for the mural. Then, Ms. Marchand had the older students trace the image onto the wall using a projector,’’ Ms. Garretson said.

 She continued her report.

“Last week, Ms. Marchand and I had the students paint it in small groups, it was so much fun! The students had a wonderful experience and really took ownership and pride in what they created,’’ Ms. Garretson stated. “ Everyone was impressed by how kind, patient, and positive the students were while painting it. The students even got some of their teachers and assistants involved.”

 She added:

“It was an awesome experience. We can’t wait to do it again!”
